First Baptist Cemetery – Community Clean-up Day

Jake Abel responds to the cancellation of the League of Women Voters candidate forum
October 6, 2021

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2021 AT 9 AM – 11 AM

I am holding my first clean-up day at the First Baptist Church Cemetery on West Wayne Avenue (across the street from the Italian American Club). We will meet on October 23, 2021 from 9-11am to start beautifying the area. This round will focus on getting debris, trash, and tree limbs out of the park, as well as starting to remove the vines that have taken over the perimeter. We will have something for all age groups – there will be cloths for the younger volunteers to wipe the cut grass from the grave stones (no chemicals). If you are interested in volunteering, please RSVP to jabel.radnorward6@gmail.com so that we have an idea of how many people to expect that morning. Please bring gloves and other small tools to help with the work.

We are working with local groups to plan an appreciation lunch after the clean up day (1100-1130am) but still trying to work out those details.

And, if you cannot make this community day do not worry. I will hopefully be scheduling another day before the end of this year. Thank you in advance for your support of our community. We are One Radnor!

Thank you everyone who has supported Jake these last four years. Together, we have built something special, and our neighborhoods have benefited from all our efforts.

Let’s join together, encourage friends and family and re-elect Jake Abel to four more years as Radnor Commissioner for Ward 6!
